WHAT TO EXPECT
We know that getting naked in front of a random stranger is not exactly everyone's idea of a good time. Your comfort is our number one priority!
1. We will bring you into the tanning room and show you the lay of the land. You will be provided with a hairnet to protect your hair from the solution, a nose plug to avoid breathing everything in, sticky feet to protect the bottom of your feet, and barrier cream to avoid build-up in areas that often crease.
2. We will then leave the room and allow you to disrobe down to your comfort level. If you choose to wear undergarments, we ask that you wear black only or wear ones that you do not care about getting tan on. The solution will rinse out of most cotton fabrics.
3. We start by applying a coat of pH-balancing prep spray. Next, we will apply your spray tan and finally, finish it off with moisture lock post spray! This whole process takes about 15-20 minutes.
INSTRUCTIONS
It is imperative that you follow the instructions given for before & after your tan to get the best results possible. Not following the instructions could lead to unfavorable results.
Before

Be sure to sign the consent form prior to arriving for your appointment.

Plan carefully. You'll need to avoid water & sweating until your first shower so, plan accordingly. All manicures, pedicures, waxing & facials should be done at least 24 hours before your tan appointment.

Exfoliate & shave the night before your session to remove all dead skin cells. This allows the solution to soak into your fresh, clean skin without any barriers.

Do NOT shower within 4 hours of your appointment.​

Skip the makeup, lotions & deodorant. This can interfere with the solution soaking into your skin. Wearing deodorant can mix with the solution and turn your armpits green!

Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing to your session. Remove all jewelry and leave it off until your tan is dry. This will prevent your clothes and jewelry from rubbing against your skin and smudging your tan or your clothing being stained by the tanning spray. Loose shoes like flip-flops are best for your feet!

On rainy days, wear slippers or Uggs, a loose zippered hoodie sweatshirt, and loose sweats (without the elastic band at the ankle) or pajama pants. And don’t forget your umbrella!

Stay away from any Dove products, both before and after your tanning appointment. Using harsh body soap will cause your tan to fade quickly and possibly become patchy. **Please read the list of Products To Avoid**
Important Notes

Applying a new Spray Tan over an old Spray Tan will cause an unfavorable result. Please be sure to completely remove any old Spray Tan you might have left on your skin prior to your next appointment as we WILL NOT apply a new Spray Tan over an old one.

If you have a sunburn or are peeling, we do not recommend you receive a Spray Tan until your skin is completely healed as spraying over a sunburn will create a splotchy result.
After

Cool-Water, no soap rinse between 2-4 hours. Wait 12-24 hours from your initial rinse to use any soaps or lotions. Deodorant is fine.

No peeing in the shower, the ammonia in the urine will cause your tan to streak.​

Pat dry, do not rub. You will want to continue to pat dry for the duration of your tan.​​

Shaving exfoliates the skin, which can fade your tan. Be sure to use a new razor and a lubricating product such as a shaving cream.
​

Tanning solution can dry out your skin, moisturize daily with an oil-free lotion. We prefer Hempz Lotion.

Lastly...
Just as every person is different, every skin type is different. Once your "tan" is applied, with moderate care it should last between 5-7 days. Depending on your activities and skin type. If a natural tan will fade from your skin in 4 days, it is reasonable to expect your sunless tan will fade in equal time. As skin type varies, so will fading patterns & timing.
